On the evening of Wednesday 12th February, a group of students from Langley
School embarked on a trip to Germany – this trip was to be filled with the
momentous sights of two iconic German cities: Aachen and Cologne as well as the
thrill of experiencing school life through the eyes of a German student. We departed
school promptly at 8 o’clock after first gathering within the confines of our school’s
sports hall to receive our register mark. After enduring a ten hour long journey filled
with football chants, notorious 80s songs, fruitless chatter and eventually receiving
the few hours of sleep that both students and teacher required in order to sustain us
